Swag.com

Swag.com is the best place to buy custom gifts and promotional products on the internet. Since 2015 we’ve been shaking up the promo industry with a platform catered towards a growing audience of young, digitally-native B2B pros who want to feel like they’re online shopping.

I was hired to run the blog in 2020, and have evolved my role to own brand and all creative content. In 2022 we were acquired by Custom Ink, and in 2024 we launched a new software startup with me at the head of marketing.

Script writing, storyboard development

We realized that visitors to our homepage needed to browse several sections of content to get a full picture of our services. Our goal was to create an easily digestible asset that could tell our story in less than a minute— ideally being flexible enough to use across other channels.

Working in 3D animation allowed us to maximize our brand appeal: millennial, premium, fun. I developed the script and storyboard, working with the amazing agency Notreal.tv to bring the life to work.

Blog & SEO

Writing, SEO research, partnerships, content strategy

Most people aren’t buying swag regularly. When they have to, they typically turn to search engines for help.

To capitalize on this, our SEO strategy focuses on identifying the questions potential customers might have, and developing blog content that positions Swag.com as thoughtful experts you’d want to trust with your project.

During my time in charge of our blog, traffic has increased 10x, with millions of visitors converting into six figures of revenue every month.

Inspiration Guide ‘24

Copy, creative direction

The holiday gifting season is the World Series of promotional products. To win the year, we wanted to inspire customers not just with great products, but by exploring the emotions associated with giving and receiving them.

The Inspiration Guide is organized around emotional categories rather than traditional product categories. I creative directed the project, wrote all copy, and commissioned the photos at the heart of the catalog.

Interactive Product Explorer

Copy, creative direction

Everyone wants to give creative, fun swag to their audience. The more our brand can do to help people think outside the box, the more purchases we see.

We created a unique digital catalog that offers interactive visualizations of how great swag creates meaningful moments in the real world. As creative director I wireframed the project, and worked closely with designers and developers to perfect the UX.
